Our way of working
The surgery appointment system is running as follows:
When you contact the surgery you will be initially triaged to ensure your call is appropriate for a clinician. If appropriate you with either be offered a telephone appointment or face to face appointment at this time. Due to the high level of calls and appointments available on one day, patients will be offered a 10 minute appointment with the appropriate clinician.
Patients will be able to arrange appointments 4 weeks in advance, pre-bookable telephone or face to face appointments. This will then allow for the on the day appointments to be for acute - on the day problems. We have also introduced 5 minute telephone medication review appointments which would be to discuss medication ONLY. We hope with our new system in place patients will be able to ensure they are able to plan appointments in advance and allow on the day appointments to be readily available.
For any prescription requests please phone the prescription line option 1, state clearly your name and date of birth, which medications you require and with your choice of pharmacy and location and it can be directed from here to your chosen pharmacy. These have a 72 hour turn around time then can be collected or passed to your allocated pharmacy.
Thank you for your co-operation

Prescriptions
Please be advised when ordering prescriptions our turn over time is currently 72 hours. If it then goes to a selected pharmacy it may take additional time at their end, depending on pharmacy turn around.
Due to the very high volume of calls in to the surgery asking to check if a prescription has been processed we would ask patients to please wait the 72 hours from ordering, excluding weekends. If your prescription is not at your chosen pharmacy we can then see what the problem is and and try to resolve the issue as it could be with pharmacy or ourselves.
Thank you
Zero Tolerance
The practice staff are working incredibly hard throughout the pandemic and we are still working hard now under immense pressure with much higher demand now than before the pandemic.
We have a zero tolerance policy towards people who are violent or verbally abusive to our staff or anyone else on the premises. Behaviour of this kind will result in removal from the practice list and may result in police action.
Thank You
